Direct Debit Problems

If your Direct Debit payment has been returned unpaid, you may be able to avail of the option to pay by Credit/Debit card. This option is available to you if:

  • The payment amount is less than €5,000.
  • The payment is in respect of a Personal Pension (including PRSAs) or a Protection policy. (Payments where the policy owner/payer is a corporate entity cannot be accepted.)
  • The payment is being made by the policy owner and the Credit/Debit card is in his/her name.
  • The payment is from a Credit/Debit card issued within a SEPA listed country (the 28 EU member states plus Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, Monaco and Liechtenstein).

It is important to note that normal underwriting rules and Anti Money Laundering requirements will continue to apply.
