1st for Investment Management Excellence

Ireland's first Financial Services Excellence Awards organised by KPMG took place on Thursday evening, 23rd June 2005, at the Burlington Hotel. The ceremony was attended by over 300 Financial Services Industry leaders and saw Eagle Star winning the Investment Management Excellence Award. The Financial Services Excellence Awards were designed to recognise excellence across the core segments of the financial services industry; banking, funds, insurance and asset financing sectors. In judging the nominations, consideration was given to achievements in market performance, innovation, customer service, employer of choice and corporate social responsibility. The 9 winners and their award categories were:
- Investment Management Excellence Award - Eagle Star
- Corporate Banking Excellence Award - Ulster Bank
- International Banking Excellence Award -AIB
- Retail Banking Excellence Award - Bank of Ireland / EBS
- Funds Company Excellence Award - AIB/BNY Securities Services
- International Insurance Excellence Award - Scottish Equitable
- Life Insurance Excellence Award - Irish Life Retail
- Non life Insurance Excellence Award - Allianz
A prestigious panel of judges representing, business, government, academia and media was assembled to evaluate nominations for the different categories and ultimately identify the overall winners. This Financial Services Excellence Awards judging panel included:
