Zurich sponsors ISME conference

Recognising the importance of access to a pension fund for employees and employers when they reach retirement, Zurich is proud to be sponsoring this year's ISME conference.

ISME - the Irish SME Association - is holding its annual conference on Friday, 3 November in the Citywest Hotel, Dublin. The title of the conference is: 'What's Your Story? Driving Business Growth Through Storytelling', and ISME will be asking businesses to look at their own story to see how it can empower them to grow their companies.

Speaking about the upcoming event, ISME CEO, Neil McDonnell said: "The most successful companies manage to wrap a story around their brand, one that instantly communicates their message and values to the customer. We will show how SMEs can do this and be just as effective as the big brands."

Joe Creegan, Head of Corporate Life and Pensions at Zurich said that sponsoring the event was a natural fit. "Zurich, a leading pension provider to SMEs, is delighted to sponsor the conference because we believe in the importance to both employers and employees of having a good positive financial story to tell when they reach their retirement."

Minister Frances Fitzgerald T.D. will open the conference, followed by the keynote speech by Michael Cawley, Chairman, Fáilte Ireland (former Deputy Chief Executive, Ryanair).

Conall Ó Mórain will chair the conference which includes a storytelling workshop led by Cilian Fennell from Stillwater Productions. He will work with some ISME members to demonstrate how storytelling can help them develop and grow their businesses.

Other highlights of the conference include John McGrane, Director General of the British Irish Chamber of Commerce discussing Brexit; breakout sessions and workshops. The Great Debate will close the day and includes panellists Lorcan Sirr, Councillor Mannix Flynn, Susan Hayes, Jim O'Leary and Tom Lyons who will hold a lively discussion on the topic 'SMEs and new socialism'.
