How it works

The fund objective is to provide investors with exposure to the performance of commodity returns. The fund currently achieves this by investing in the S&P GSCI ENERGY & METALS CAPPED COMPONENT 35/20 UCITS ETF.

This is an Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) managed by BNP Paribas. Zurich Life reserves the right to replace this ETF with another fund at any stage.

BNP Paribas aims to replicate the performance of the S&P GSCI Energy & Metals Capped Component 35/20 Total Return Index indirectly using derivative instruments.

The Index covers the energy and metals commodity sectors including oil, gas, industrial metals and precious metals. The ETF is priced in euro. However, the vast bulk of commodities are denominated and transacted in US$, and therefore a currency risk arises for a euro investor.

Note: Prior to 14/12/2015 the fund provided exposure to Energy, Metals, Agriculture and Livestock.

BNP Paribas does not guarantee that the S&P GSCI ENERGY & METALS CAPPED COMPONENT 35/20 UCITS ETF will always exactly mirror the index due to, amongst other things, the time lag and costs of reflecting changes in the index.

BNP Paribas Investment Partners Luxembourg is authorised and regulated by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier.
