The fund currently invests in a variable rate deposit account with RaboDirect. RaboDirect is a branch of Rabobank (Coöperatieve Centrale Raiffeisen-Boerenleenbank, B.A.), one of the top 25 safest banks in the world*. As at 31st May 2016, the current variable rate on the fund is 0.2% Annual Equivalent Rate (AER)**, which may change in the future.

Our normal product charges apply, which includes annual management charges on some products, and early encashment charges may apply.

The return stated is before the deduction of charges, pension levy and imputed distribution payments, as applicable. Taxes may apply when you mature your pension. Withdrawals from Approved Retirement Funds (ARFs) and Approved Minimum Retirement Funds (AMRFs) will be taxed as income.

**0.2% per annum is provided by RaboDirect. You do not have a deposit with RaboDirect or any recourse to RaboDirect. In the event that RaboDirect does not meet its obligations to Zurich Life, or the return on the RaboDirect account is otherwise insufficient, the value of the Variable Rate Deposit (Series 3) Fund will be based only on the value returned from the deposit account with RaboDirect. No other assets of Zurich Life Assurance plc shall be used to make up the difference.

RaboDirect, is licensed by the Dutch Central Bank in the Netherlands and is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland for conduct of business rules.

Why Zurich Life?

At Zurich Life, we believe that the macro economic environment is the key driver for investment market themes. We are business cycle investors, and our portfolios are constructed to take advantage of investment opportunities over all parts of the economic cycle.

Our investment managers closely co-operate to make decisions across assets, markets and sectors, taking a 'top-down' approach to identify trends and to bring the best investment opportunities to our clients.

It's widely accepted that long-term investment returns within an investor's portfolio are driven by asset allocation. Asset allocation decisions have become increasing complex over the years, due to a changing economic landscape and market volatility. At Zurich Life, we have a reputation for making the right investment decisions at the right time.
