How it works

The fund aims to track the performance of the Citigroup Euro Government Bond Index (EGBI). The fund currently achieves this by investing in an open-ended Undertakings for Collective Investment of Transferable Securities (UCITS) index fund managed by BlackRock.

The market value of bonds, and therefore the performance of this fund, depends on a variety of factors including the expected level of interest rates and expected inflation.

In terms of currency, the fund is managed from the point of view of a eurozone investor.
